Spiritual Growth
We believe music & worship are so very vital to
the life and health of our church. After all, our purpose begins
with glorifying God! Whenever we gather to worship, we believe
God is our audience and He eagerly awaits our praise and
adoration. Whether we sing contemporary choruses and songs, or
traditional hymns, our aim is always to glorify God and turn our
focus on Him.
Some specific areas of ministry are:
Contemporary Praise Band
This group leads worship in our 8:30
service. Members play guitars, drums, and keyboards and sing. We
rehearse every Wednesday night at 8:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
SANCTUARY CHOIR
This group sings in our 11:00
service. Styles include traditional classics as well as
contemporary choruses and anthems. We present several musicals
each year, some of these as major productions. All of these are
done to honor God and as an outreach to our community. The
Sanctuary choir practices every Wednesday night at 6:30 in the
Choir Suite (upstairs in the Dykes Street Building).
Sounds of Joy
This is a contemporary praise choir that meets occasionally and
sings periodically in our 8:30 service. All are welcome to join
this group! We practice usually on Monday nights as scheduled.

Turner.
Handbells
Our
handbells play periodically in our 11:00 service and for special
occasions throughout the year. The ringers are led by Linda
Dykes and the group meets on Monday nights. Please contact Jay
Turner for more information.
